Standard equipment includes a 7-inch touchscreen, infotainment system, 6-speaker sound system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth. The standard interior design is quite classy.


The Silverado bed also comes in 3 size options: 5-ft 8-in, 6-ft 6-in and 8-ft. Almost identical to the F-150. You only have 8 color options to choose from with the Silverado: Cajun Red Tincoat, Havana Metallic, Deep Ocean Blue Metallic, Summit White, Silver Ice Metallic, Black, Graphite Metallic and Red Hot.

Performance & Reliability

The 2019 Silverado only has 5 engine options. Plus, it features a lower towing capacity of 12,000 pounds and a max payload of just about 3,000 pounds even though the Silverado comes standard with a V8 engine. Fuel economy ratings for the Silverado are lower than the F-150 sitting at 17 city / 23 hwy mpg.

The IIHS did rate the Silverado well in 5 out of 6 crash tests but gave it a Marginal rating in the passenger-side front small overlap crash test and a Poor rating related to how well the headlights work. Standard safety features include the Teen Driver equipment and a rear view camera.
