The first time we laid our eyes on the 2021 Ford F-150 was back in June.

2021 Ford F-150 Release Date

Some 2021 Ford F-150s have started to arrive at our showroom. While the PowerBoost Hybrid F-150 is also showing up, we won't start to see the new electric F-150 until 2022.

2021 Ford F-150 Highlights

What's most impressive about the new F-150 lineup is the addition of the PowerBoost Hybrid motor. This engine should be part of about ten percent of the F-150 models.

2021 Ford F-150 vs. 2020 Ford F150

There are some new exterior styling upgrades combined with a few interior updates on the 2021 Ford F-150. Not only does this truck now come with 17-, 18-, 20 and 22-inch wheels, but you also get to choose from 15 stylish exterior colors, six of which are completely new.

2021 Ford F-150 MPG & Fuel Tank Capacity

You have a lot of engine choices with your new F-150, each with its own fuel economy rating. The EcoBoost engine is rated at 20/26 mpg, while the hybrid model gets about 23 mpg combined. The majority of the trucks feature a fuel tank measuring between 23 and 36 gallons. The PowerBoost Hybrid F-150 has a 30.6-gallon tank, allowing you to go about 700 miles on a full tank.

2021 Ford F-150 Electric Range

While Ford hasn't released the electric F-150 range estimates yet, we expect it to be at least three hundred miles with a single charge. We are anticipating much of the same equipment that is found on the new Mustang Mach-E.

2021 Ford F-150 Configurations

Just like with last year's trucks, you can choose from three configurations. The Regular Cab F-150 gives you room to hold three people, but the SuperCab and SuperCrew can provide room for six.

2021 Ford F-150 Towing Capacity

2021 Ford F-150 trucks can tow up to 13,200 pounds. We don't know what the electric F-150 is capable of but think it is going to include all-wheel-drive.
