2022 vs. 2021 Ford Super Duty Engine

It doesn't matter which model year you look at; you will find the same engine options. The F-250 and F-350 models include a standard 385-horsepower gas 6.2-liter V8 engine rated at 430 lb-ft. of torque. However, there's also an available 430-horsepower 7.3-liter V8 engine rated at 475 lb-ft. of torque or the 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 engine that outputs 475 horsepower and 1050 lb-ft. of torque. All of the powertrains can be combined with rear- or four-wheel drive.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford Super Duty Transmission

With both models, the six-speed automatic transmission is the base configuration with the F-250 6.2-liter, but most models include a ten-speed automatic transmission instead.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford Super Duty Suspension

The Super Duty Tremor models are the ultimate off-road package. These trucks add a lift kit, along with a trail-ready suspension and beefier tires.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford Super Duty Towing Capacity

Both the 2022 and 2021 Ford Super Duty contains the same amount of towing capacity. The strongest Super Duty configuration can tow up to 24,200 pounds using a conventional trailer hitch or 37,000 pounds with a gooseneck and fifth-wheel hitch.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford Super Duty Interior Improvements

You can choose the 2022 and 2021 Ford Super Duty trucks with various cab configurations, allowing for three- or five-passenger seating. The XL is considered a work truck, offering very few features, but it still contains a comfortable environment and easy-to-use controls. However, the XLT models include standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and an eight-inch touchscreen. If you want more luxury, consider the Lariat trim with leather-trimmed upholstery, ambient lighting, and wireless charging. Of course, the King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited will be the highest-class options, with massaging seats and other opulent features.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford Super Duty Exterior

The 2022 and 2021 Ford Super Duty dimensions are 231.8-266.2" L x 80" W x 78.7-81.5" H. There's also the option to choose from 17- 18, 19.5- or 20-inch wheels. Either model will also include 11 exterior color options. However, the 2022 Ford Super Duty includes an optional Lariat Sport appearance package that adds black running boards, chrome exhaust tips, color-matched bumpers, as well as exterior mirrors, and a grille.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford Super Duty Length

The length of the Super Duty depends on the cab configuration and which bed is chosen. However, there's no difference between the dimensions from the 2022 to the 2021 Ford Super Duty. In total, the truck will measure 231.8-266.2" long, riding on a 141.6-176" wheelbase.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford Super Duty Bed Length

You can choose from two truck bed sizes with either Ford Super Duty. The smaller box is a 6.75-foot option, while the longer one measures eight feet. However, Regular Cab Super Duty trucks only come with the larger bed size.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford Super Duty Payload

The 2022 and 2021 Ford Super Duty are both rated the same for payload capability. At its best, the Super Duty can haul up to 7,850 pounds with the right equipment.

2022 Ford Super Duty F-250 Vs. F-350

In general, the only difference between the 2022 Ford Super Duty F-250 and F-350 models is the capability. You can expect the same level of style and features with either model. For example, the F-250 can tow up to 20,000 pounds, while the F-350 tows up to 21,200 pounds with a conventional setup. With that in mind, the starting price of the F-350 trim levels will also be a little more than the F-250 MSRP.
