The 2023 Ford Ranger has a few updates coming down the pipeline. A standard 10.1" touchscreen display with an available 12" vertical configuration will now be available. Engine

The 2023 Ford Ranger may come with the same 2.3-liter turbo-four as the previous model. While there's a turbodiesel offered in other countries, we don't think it will come to the United States. However, you can choose from the ten-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. The 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor comes with a 392-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 engine and a ten-speed automatic. There's also the possibility of a 2023 Ford Ranger Hybrid in the works. 

Performance & MPG

The 2023 Ford Ranger should have similar ratings to last year. With RWD, we expect 21/26 mpg and 20/24 mpg with four-wheel drive. 

Exterior & Colors

We are looking for a slightly larger model compared to the 2022 Ford Ranger. However, there will still be just as many stunning color options to choose from. 

Interior & Seating

   The 2023 Ford Ranger SuperCab provides the seating needed to hold four people. There's also an optional Ford Ranger SuperCrew, designed to hold five.                                                   

Cargo Capacity

The 2023 Ford Ranger SuperCab comes equipped with a 6' truck bed, and on SuperCrew models, there's a 5' truck bed. We still expect the new Ranger to boast a maximum payload capacity of up to 1,860 pounds. 

Towing Capacity

Without any major engine changes, the towing capacity of the 2023 Ford Ranger should be similar to the previous model. We expect it to tow up to 7,500 pounds, or similarly. 

Drivetrain & Suspension

The 2023 Ford Ranger comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but you can also choose four-wheel drive. The big news, however, is the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor. This off-road variant includes a beefed-up suspension, increased ride height, and 33" all-terrain tires.
